ARC, HIER, AUJOURD’HUI ET DEMAIN
We designed the scenography relating the story of this French institution since its creation in 1964.
The small windows display the « ARC » through history in creations which helped it to be known to the public ; then the bigger windows show details of a few creations thanks to the craftsmen’s remarkable skills on their latest projects or works being presently realized.
In order to illustrate this progress through the times, our scenography is based on a red high signal, easily identifiable from far away, recalling a time line or a common theme going from one window to the other.
Designed like a common base, a sturdy basis from which projects arise, this distinctive element is set above and hangs up in the windows. It allows to place models, drawings, photographies and prototypes on it, each window with its own scenery.
We have a mix of boxes with miniatures of the furnitures realized, with the portraits of designers working with the ARC, a workshop wall showing photos of the working craftsmen, bases reminding the Hungary-pointed wooden floors and a shelf decorated with beadings, a wink to the interiors of Ministries.
These media are designed to go across several windows to let all those elements converse together.
