DITO FROM SCRATCH
Pierre and Caroline are members of the design collective Dito.
The Dito collective, initiated in 2006, unites ten young designers of the same generation descending from various French design schools. By taking an opposing stance in an era where approaches to design are often personal or individualistic, the group's ambitions are to imagine a collegial and more open work methodology in which dialogue, exchange and sharing are favored, regarding them as forces for contemporary design. Considering 'design' as the means and not just an the end, Dito aims to create a set of objects as innovative in their form as to the process which gave birth to them. “Dito from scratch” bears witnesses to this experience.
